As Official Timekeeper of Dakar 2026, OMEGA is celebrating one year to go, ready to record the first ever IOC sporting event to be held in Africa.

Dakar 2026 will be held between October 31^st and November 13^th next year, marking the 4^th summer edition of the Youth Olympic Games. It will welcome around 2,700 young athletes, aged up to 17 years old, who will contest 153 events in 25 sports and 10 engagement sports. OMEGA will be there to measure each moment, bringing its renowned Olympic and Paralympic Games expertise to the two weeks of action.

This is a chance to witness the beginning of many incredible athletic careers.

Dakar 2026 was created from the vision of bringing the Youth Olympic Games to every corner of the world, placing them at the heart of Africa’s transformation.
